A lil bit about me. Well my user name is based upon the song by Mos Def but it also sums up who I am; where I am at right now in my life.
The original purpose of this journal was for me to document the changes I was going through and experiencing. Now I feel I have come to SOME answers. I now consider myself a Buddhist/Existentialist. I am comfortable with Zen Buddhism but honestly with my own form of Zen Dharma. I approach Buddhism as more of a philosophy than a religion and I mix and blend it with my own Existentialist beliefs.
Anything else? Just ask me or read the journal. Peace!!
Now it's quote time!!!!!
"The goal of an artist is to create the definitive works that cannot be surpassed." -- George Bernard Shaw
"In fact, Osborne and I had only one thing in common - that both of us had been turned into 'outsiders' by our working-class backgrounds, and the suspicion that we would spend the rest of our lives in dreary obscurity" - Colin Wilson, the Outsider
"Be aware. If you meet the Buddha, kill him" - Master Lin Chi, Zen Monk
"When all is said and done, there's nothing left to say or do" - anonymous

"When you see a swordsman, draw your sword. Do not recite poetry to one who is not a poet." - Ch'an Buddhist Proverb
"Look in the skies for God, what you see besides the smog/ Is broken dreams flyin' away on the wings of the obscene/ Thoughts that people put int he air.... It's a paradox called "Reality"/ - Talib Kweli on Respiration
